What better way to learn a new language than to teach yourself? Do you have what it takes to learn languages such as English, Spanish, Italian or other cool languages? Study Stream is more than a tool to learn the languages; it’s a new way to learn without having to pay for an expensive course at college or by hiring a tutor. What makes this application excellent is that you can log in from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection.

This web application provides an interactive way to get you into learning and it all starts when you first visit the page. The page asks you for your native language, the language that you would like to learn and even provides a Facebook or Twitter log in setting, which makes you a member in 2 seconds! Explanations are always shown on the blue bar at the bottom of the webpage, allowing you to hide it when you know what you’re doing.

Study Stream provides video, lectures and even exercises made by professionals. We recommend that you use the exercises first in order to see the translations of certain key words and how they are used in articles. You can start to learn word by word what the fragments and paragraphs mean by clicking on the word in the article. On the right side of the page, you can see other word forms which you will find on other articles as well as the current one. You will also have the meaning available and the different word forms used in other sentences.

Now if you don’t want to see a certain word in the exercises or sentences because you already know it, you have the option to click on the dash beside the word on the right side of the page to have it removed from your sight, allowing you to see the words that you want to learn from Study Stream. You are also able to find the videos where the word is used, so that you can pronounce it well and understand how it is used in a sentence.

If you want to remember a certain word because you tend to forget the meaning, you can just star the word once you click on it and Study Stream will keep it handy for when you want to look it up. Once you know how to pronounce the words, then you can head over to the video section, where you can find a variety of educational and fun videos in that language which you want to learn from. If you’re having a bit of trouble, you can always click on the help link, where you can get assistance for any problem that you may have on the page.

Study Stream also provides a video section, where you can view the recommended videos and you can vote them up or down. You can also access your starred, viewed or deleted videos. The deleted videos are the ones you have chosen to hide and you will see all videos on the website as long as you don’t delete them.

According to Study Stream, the help link will be available soon and they do provide an email if you have any questions with the web application. They’re on the beta version, and it seems like they will go live pretty soon because the page looks great, it is easy to navigate and is easy to access with the Facebook and Twitter feature. This is a great tool for anyone who has the drive to try new things and it would look great on a resume if you actually taught yourself a new language by using Study Stream.
