It’s the ideal choice for driving around town or taking a road trip. Prices are based on user reviews and are occasionally outdated, but on average, the app helps you save $340 a year. Gas Guru: Cheap Gas Prices Gas Guru is another app that lists gas prices near you, but it’s a little more reliable than GasBuddy: Guru’s prices come directly from the Oil Price Information Service, meaning you can always be certain the prices are correct. Like GasBuddy, Waze’s information is based largely on user reviews, but Waze is accurate and friendly.
