Do you like challenging and entertaining games that will keep you glues for hours on end? If the concept of ninjas fascinates you, here’s your chance to train your own ninja. Ninflated, an iOS app developed by AppStreet Games Ltd, stars an adorable ninja who goes by the name of Nin. He is trapped in a bubble and you must help him by training him in the art of bubble riding to guide his way through to the end of the training tower.
Ninflated is one of those games that are easy to get started with but hard to master. The controls are as simple as can get but this is exactly what will frustrate you after a while. You have to control your ninja by tapping or by sliding up, down, left or right. The game starts off with basic instruction that you will grab very quickly. However, applying this is where the hard part begins.
The game initially rubs off as one similar to Flappy Bird. However, it won’t be long before you realize that it is more fun than that. There aren’t too many different levels or modes or any complications. All you do is get started, win or lose, and then repeat quickly.
The gameplay is unique and interesting. As your ninja moves up the training tower, you must control it by guiding it. To move him around the obstacles, you need to slide when you see an arrow pointing in a certain direction or tap on a particular side of the screen when you see dots. As you progress through the game, you will come across inverted levels that are sure to drive you nuts. In these levels, the ninja moves in a direction opposite to the gesture you make. So, if you wish to move up, you must swipe down and likewise for other controls.
Another noteworthy feature in the game is that it has been integrated with the Game Center. With this additional dimension, you can challenge your friends and beat them to their wit’s end. This adds the fun social factor to the game that will keep you going no matter what. After all, it is not easy to complete your ninja training and accomplish the title of a ninja. With lack of inspiration and challenge, this task seems too daunting and almost impossible to accomplish.
One aspect in which the game loses out is the user interface. While it is simple and Nin has been made very adorable, the entire game could do with some customization and a splash of vibrant colors and animations. With this, it would be almost irresistible.
The game is available for free on the App Store. However, it comes with strings attached in the form of ads. Thankfully, you can get rid of these with a simple in-app purchase. It is compatible with the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch having iOS 6.0 or higher. As easy as it is to get used to the controls, it is equally hard to face the challenges of the game. This fiendishly difficult and perplexing game is sure to get you to rack your brains and keep you glued to your screen. Test you memory and reflexes and see where you stand among friends with this challenging fun game.
Good: Easy to pick up the controls but hard to master
Bad: The user interface is very static
