When it comes to a combination of strategy and luck, nothing can be better than card games. They are the most versatile indoor game that is loved all across the world and maybe some of the earliest traditional games that have made their way into our lives. Also, it is the only game which is still unaffected by a modern touch and people like to play it classic. All you need is a deck of cards and some players to make the gathering alive. Today we have in our room, a new Android app called Aces Gin Rummy. The game has been developed by Concrete Software, who also owns many other popular apps such as PBA Bowling Challenge, Jelly Flop, etc. The app is compatible with all the devices running Android 2.2 or later version of the OS.
Let me tell you the gameplay first. This is a 2 player game where you’ll be playing against one of any 11 fictional characters such as Mr. Porky, Janette, G.U.S. the robot, etc. 10 cards will be given to each of the player out of the deck and the remaining of the stock will be placed in the middle with the upper most card shown.You have to make melds (3 or more cards in the same order or of same rank) and eliminate the deadwoods. The face cards count for 10 points and ace counts for 1. The rest of the cards count for the number they bear. You can decide the winning to be at 100 points and as large as 300.
There is a part of luck but strategy as well. If you pick a card from the dismissed cards of your opponent and make a hand, then the points belonging to that hand are reverted back from your opponent to you. Also, if your deadwood score is less than your opponent’s, then also you get bonus points. So, there are lots of possibilities for you get over your opponent. There are different difficulty levels available for beginners as well as professionals. So, you don’t need to be the best from the start.
The app is available for free in the Play Store. I won’t say that this game is very flashy or take out a different concept, but still the app promises a simple gameplay which is addictive and lovable. So, all I can do is ask you to download the app right now and explore it yourself.
