Mobizen.com – The “BIG” Leap

It is fine to admit that a Smartphone interface can’t be classified as intuitive or user friendly as of a laptop/PC. The problem is the small screen which is ultimately the difference between a laptop and a Smartphone. Problem is actually two fold; if the screen is small, you can’t type quickly and watching movies is not the best experience. On the other hand, a big screen can’t come to your rescue everywhere. But what if you could mix the both? I’m talking about a midway solution which takes the advantages of both and leaves the limitations behind. Actually, this is not my idea; it belongs to the developers of Mobizen and that’s our app for the day!

Mobizen (www.mobizen.com) is a web application which has an Android counterpart as well. Both these applications combined serve you for a better Smartphone experience. Let me tell you how.

Mobizen allows you to operate your Android device using your Laptop/PC/Tab in such a way that you can even use your phone from your office when you forgot it at home. Sounds interesting, right? The concept of Mobizen is very simple. All you have to do is download the Android application on your Smartphone and the PC app on your System. However, the PC app is not necessary and you can connect to your phone using Web Browser as well.

After creating an account, you can connect to your device from anywhere using Wi-Fi, 3G, LTE or USB cable. Now this app is not just about managing your device’s data like most PC suites do. You can operate your phone from the PC just like it’s in your hands. You want to watch a movie? Stream it live. You want to play a game? Go ahead buddy! You can even record screen or take snapshots. So if someone’s not able to crack the code of a puzzle, text him/her the solution right away. You can even mirror your Android screen to your full screen system and start controlling your Android device with a mouse and keyboard. Notifications are also available directly on the PC, so need to worry if your headphones are on.

When it comes to data transfer, a drag and drop is sufficient for the purpose. You can even backup your phone data over Wi-Fi. So there is no need to care for the USB cable because now you can do it wireless. The UI of this application is certainly one of the most stylish as well as organized one that I’ve seen. You can listen to songs, watch movies, transfer data and after doing so many things side by side, you don’t get tired a bit.

Mobizen is compatible with Android 4.0 or any later version of the OS. On the system part, it’s compatible with Windows XP and later versions and Mac OS X 10.7 or later version. The web browsers supported are Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer. So I don’t see anything left out of its range, are you?

Pros: intuitive and stylish UI; Android to PC mirroring; connect over Wi-Fi/3G/LTE/USB from anywhere; live streaming; drag and drop transfer; backup over Wi-Fi; free.

Cons: none.
