It was my cousin’s marriage. I had bought a brand new Van Heusen Suit and was all excited to put it on. But marriage isn’t a one-man affair. There were sure to be many of my relatives whom I hadn’t met in a long time and as I got to the wedding, it seemed as if the whole jungle had been invited to the festival. Obviously, these are the moments that need to be captured and kept alive in your phone memory cards and therefore everybody had their phones out with a flash. One photo here with my parents, another with my cousins and then a third with the bride and the groom. I just couldn’t stop getting clicked and it continued all through the night. By the time the sun was out, we were all out in different directions. But wait! Where are my photos?
It’s a very silly situation to be caught up into. There were many different phones used for the clicks and now you’ll have to ask them all personally to send you the photos by mail or share them on Facebook and you know how frustrating and embarrassing that is. That’s where this app called OurCam comes to rescue. It’s an iOS app that has been developed by OurCam Co. Ltd and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 7.0 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.
What’s different with OurCam is that you have everything planned out in advance. First, create a group and add all those people in your contacts that you believe will be hanging out with you and therefore might be part of your selfies/pictures or might be the one standing behind the camera. When you and your friends are part of that group, then all the pictures that will be clicked in the event will automatically be shared in that group and therefore everyone gets his/her share of happiness or maybe even more. Now you don’t have to revert back to your camera roll and search for any photos that are still missing.
Now that there are so many photos lying in the open (though the group is private), there are lots of stories ready to be cooked up. You just have to put them in the pan and start the flame. Grab a packet of popcorns and start chatting within the group about the photos. Ask them why there are so many photos of a strange beautiful girl whom nobody knows. But if you get a chance to take a selfie with that girl and don’t want to show it to others, don’t worry as you can stop sharing in between as well and resume it later.
So what do I think of OurCam? I think it’s a smart application that’s user friendly, easy to use and saves you a lot of time that you could use talking to your girlfriend. So just grab a cup of coffee and find out what’s the talk of the town tonight!
