What we have watched in movies and television series is that jail is a place that’s literally “the hell on the earth”. So many evil faces in the eyes of the society put together in a place that even devil would be hoping to run this place someday because it suits him. You can’t trust even a single person around you and friend and foe are synonyms here. In such an atmosphere where you’re punished every single second of your life, who would want to spend his entire life? It’s a disgusting thought in itself but their crimes are even disgusting that that and therefore they’ll have to pay for what they’ve done. But denial is their very first thought when it comes to the rule book and bigger the rule, more is the fun in breaking that. With that ideology in mind, let’s break some rules!

It’s all about the new iOS app called P.A.C.O. that has been developed by Trompo Games. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 7.1 or any later version of the OS. This app has also been optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

If I had to sum up this entire game, I would say it’s “frustrating but challenging”. You have to get some prisoners out of the jail who’re all one-armed and part of the gang called The One Armed Bandits. The road to the escape goes through number of ladders and you have to tap at the screen to make them jump from one ladder to another. Till now, everything sounds simple and under control. But the things go out of control when you actually play the game!

Yes, the timing of the jump matters a lot in here. You just have to trust your instincts each time you jump that this is the right time because there’s no clue whatsoever. The distance between the ladders is so maintained that there is no margin for error. You wish if you had a gadget to slow down everything and then roll it over frame by frame so that you can have a “perfect jump”. But alas! You don’t have anything like that and then starts a series of failures. You keep falling down and a moment will come when you’ll want to give up. But I think it’s better to keep the stakes high than to put them so low that you don’t even have to jump to get over the barrier.

The graphics of the game are very interesting. There’s a humour in the styling of the prisoners which is completely in contrast to the story of a jail break. But that’s what a comic-thriller is known for and this one fits very aptly into that genre. The soundtrack is also interesting and complements the visuals very well.

So overall, P.A.C.O. is an amazing game that you all should be playing right now. It’s available for free in the App Store.

Pros: addictive gameplay; no margin for error; frustrating but challenging; amazing graphics; free.

Cons: none.
