Being a big music psych, I know what efforts I make to find the best music across the world. You cannot just buy any other song released by your favourite artist and hope that it’ll turn out to be good. Also, all chart breaking records are not meant to hit hard on your speakers as well. So you have to go through the different tracks first on YouTube or any other music streaming website and if you like it, only then should you buy it. But there are more than billions of songs in this world and hundreds are released every day. So it will require you to take at least a full one week holiday from your office so that you can go through them. A better option is to tune in to some channel that streams best of the tracks of your choice and we’re buying it.

I am talking about the latest iOS app called Radio Tuna. If you’re a regular online music streamer, you must be familiar with Now they’ve launched their iOS app. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 5.0 or any later version of the OS. The app has also been optimized for iPhone 5.

While designing any mobile app for an already existing website, the biggest challenge is to keep the user interface as similar as possible. All the users expect it to be user friendly and that’s where this app excels. It’s an app for live radio streaming and there are hundreds of channels available there. They are well categorized according to their taste and controls occupy minimal of space on the screen. You can navigate from one channel to another very easily, select your favourite channels, listen to tracks or record them if you really like them. Yes, you can record songs from live streaming as well.

The best thing about Radio Tuna is that there is something for everyone. There are numerous channels for every genre and there will hardly be any song that is not be available in their dictionary. Also, you can buy any song with the given iTunes link for every song you’re listening to. This is a great feature to be included in a mobile app.

Online radio is a very good alternative for FM in case you have access to Wi-Fi. . Earlier, Radio was only available for desktops and laptops and it hugely restricted the mobile freedom as in case of FM but with these kinds of apps coming to the App Store, there will certainly be a huge shift. The app is available for free in the App Store though there are some in-app purchases available as well. So all I can say is that this app is a must have for every music lover. Thumbs Up!

Pros: intuitive UI; song for every genre; hundreds of channels; free.

Cons: none.
