For a franchise that’s already very popular, it’s always very difficult to pull out a new rabbit out of the hat that’s even more convincing and entertaining than the predecessors. We have seen the trick failing many times before. But this is not that day. Today, we’re talking about the latest offering of the Disney games called “Where’s My Water? 2”. A sequel to the very successful game by the same name, let’s find out if it manages to survive the expectations!
Where’s My Water? 2 follows the same storyline as its predecessor. You have to dig out dirt and clear the path for the water to reach down the shower-pipe of Swampy, the hygienic Alligator. On your way, you have to pick up three ducks as well. This is the general course of each level. But Disney has tried a few new innovations this time with an approach to bring more variety on the table. Therefore, this time you have two new characters, Allie and Cranky, as well. The gameplay too has been twisted in many levels. For example, everything’s upside-down. While in some parts, you have to avoid the ducks. These experiments are sure to make things interesting for the players. Then they have brought back the “mystery duck” levels from the original as well. The game has more than 100 levels and you must play and clear each level before proceeding to the next one. In fact, you have to clear them with good-enough grades or otherwise you will have to repeat and improve upon your performance. So the stakes have already been set very high. There are some boosts such as Vacuum, Dropper and Absorber that can ease down your journey but it might attract some in-app purchases.
One thing is guaranteed in Disney games: awesome graphics. This game is full of vibrant colors and beautiful characters. It’s like a carnival going on here and you’re a part of it. The physics-based gameplay is as real as it can get. There are so many different themes that have been explored in this game that you’re almost on a voyage across different geographical points on this planet. Moreover, all the characters are funny, playful but very adorable and it’s the only place where you can say so for an alligator.
Where’s My Water? 2 has many achievements to unlock that in return will also earn you special themed duckies such as hula-duckie, astronaut-duckie, etc. Also, using Facebook connect you can connect to your friends on Facebook and share your scores and invite them to play the game. Connect to as many friends as you can and get rewards.
So overall I’d say that Where’s My Water? 2 is a deserving sequel to the series. Also, this time Disney has decided to offer the game for free. What more can you ask for?
